While I get your concerns, and agree with many of your points, there's one big question which still lingers. What makes it any different, in your mind, training an AI compared to a human taking their inspiration from, and mimicking someone else's style?
This happens ALL the time in art - almost all art in existence was trained off someone else's work, either in part or in full. If I want to learn how to draw Goku from DBZ, I'm going to be picking out examples from the show or manga to copy. Just look at fan art - it's everywhere and in a style which is extremely consistent to the original works. There are artists which make their entire living by copying other's art styles!
If you want to use the argument that you're taking someone else's talent and copying it, then that's basically every artist out there. The fact it takes longer for a human to do than an AI model doesn't mean the processes are vastly different. You can argue that human's will eventually develop their own style, but I can point to countless examples where they don't because a particular style has been so ingrained in everything they do, that they just can't do anything else.
So, I guess the question is where do you draw the line on what's acceptable and what's not, because there's been no shortage of 'theft' examples from real artists either.
