Humanity is not a group. You should speak in terms of haves and have nots. AI implementation is gradual, economic insecurity is gradual, dropping fertility is gradual. if elites need people, then those needed people will be employed and they dont need voters who dont share their interests. The people who own the means of production will increase in fertility and the people who don't will decrease, so population will remain the same
