This is nice and all, but i think ya'll are forgetting something. Not everyone has the time, energy, or frankly, the talent to spend years perfecting anatomy and lighting and perspective just to bring one idea to life. Some folks are writers, game devs, storytellers, worldbuilders. Art isn’t their main gig—it’s a tool to enhance their actual craft. AI art, for all its flaws, gives them a shortcut to visualizing their imagination without needing to dump four years into figure studies. Is AI art perfect? Hell no. But it gets the job done. It’s not trying to win a damn gallery award—it’s trying to exist. To bring that OC you’ve had in your head since middle school to life. And that’s awesome. The problem isn’t AI art. The problem is people pretending it’s somehow better than art made by real, breathing, struggling artists. That’s when it becomes disrespectful. That’s when it’s not “just having fun” anymore. But if someone’s using AI to explore their world, share their vision, or just see their silly little characters in color—let them cook. Gatekeeping creativity because it didn’t come with a watermark and $80 out of your wallet is wild. So yeah, AI art ain’t inherently evil. Just don’t crown it king when it’s still learning to draw hands.
