AI is not a problem - problem is financial system that based on profit. That's why we have sweatshops but art is replaced by AI slop. Because it's ironically cheaper to use human labour in industrial production and excavation than to automate everything. But yeah, the west suffers the most - industrial sector is barely visible and a lot of work is intellectual. Accounting, banking, consulting - but that's why AI is coming for it. Automated software is fast, cheap, somewhat effective. Western world is slowly going into dystopia, where intellectual labour is automated and all what's left is low-paying service jobs with UBI checks subsidised by exploitation of underdeveloped countries.
