I went to an experimental Career High School. Early eighties. It was for kids that hated traditional schools but had high I Qs and test scores. It was highly successful. Not sure why they don't do all schools that way. One of my classes was in a greenhouse, another in a garden another in a floriculture where we could do all the flowers for a wedding. We had cake making, ice sculpture and gourmet food classes, some of the construction classes could build sheds and even garages. There were animal husbandry classes that taught kids to be groomers and vets. Could bring your pet to school for a spa day. A field trip could be a day at the zoo with 8 friends, no Adults. Too bad there's not more like that. Oh yeah school store too. Sell your products and could sell ceramics from the pottery class, even a mortician classes for the more goth kids. Lol.
