I am very skeptical of the current "AI". If large swathes of economy are really being replaced with these dumb LLMs somehow, I am really worried about our immediate future. These things are always making mistakes that are just inconspicuous enough to get unnoticed by someone unqualified. You can't expect anything built on such AI work to last. AI can help enhance an engineer's productivity, but you can't fire the engineer and let the manager work with AI directly and expect the end product to work properly.
