This is so delusional, as if one white collar job is the same as the next. No, millions of people are losing their jobs right now to AI. The new white collar jobs that are created will go to new people with newer AI skills. Older people can't just keep reskilling every time they get laid off and expect to compete with people half their age for at least the very simple reason that companies expect older people require higher salaries. This is an assumption made before any discussion. And those candidates who don't ask for more are considered less professional and assumed to be less qualified. It's a catch-22. But, regardless, the guy is acting like jobs aren't being replaced. They are. The Graphic Design profession didn't disappear because of computers, but the old graphic designers certainly lost their jobs to 20-somethings trained on Adobe. Same thing is happening now with AI in that profession and the salaries are going way down, too.
