The thing people aren’t saying out loud is that AI isn’t optional. Yes, it has a lot of potential problems. It’s also so productive that any nation that doesn’t embrace it will have its economy decimated by nations who do. I don’t mean fewer billionaires. I mean mass starvation.
It’s not a question of “AI: Yes or No.” It’s a question of how to regulate it and keep it from going off the rails.
