AI can only make generic images. Compare the "Ghibli style" AI generated images of Bernie Sanders and Hayao Miyazaki, if you take away the facial hair they are almost identical. Then compare old characters from Studio Ghibli movies: Kamaji the boiler man, Yubaba, Jiko-bo, Hii-Sama, and Sophie Hatter (in her cursed form.) They are all unique looking. Because AI cannot make character design decisions. It can only be generic by the nature of how the tech works.
