He is like Rasputin… This 99% unemployment talk sounds totally ridiculous. It would take ages for “super intelligence” to do all jobs, if ever. There will always be a need for human supervision. Would you like to be a passenger on a human-pilot free aircraft? I wouldn’t. Yes, repetitive low tech tasks like cashiers, packing, warehousing, general construction and similar can be replaced with robotics and systems, but even a plumber robot won’t be able to operate on its own (I’m not talking about factory pipe assemblies or blueprints, I mean on actual site projects). Restorations of old historical buildings, artwork, wooden boats, and other skillful handwork will never be replaced. Still, for AI it’s a long way to go it’s not reliable at this stage, even though there is a lot of bragging about it. AI can assist in repetitive tasks and better decisions, as well as research, discoveries, space, economics, laws...you name it. AI is an amazing tool that helps us develop and achieve great things. The only real danger comes from humans with crooked and retarded minds.
