I'm a CPA, and based on my experience with business leaders (CEOs, CFOs, COOs and Boards) most of them really do not like the idea of overhead in their financial results, and will do everything in their power to diminish their reliance on these positions as much as possible, while ensuring every future position they hire into are profit generating forms of cost. I think my experience aligns with the over-arching theme I have come to with AI. I believe there will be great interest among business leaders and BOGs to replace overhead forms of positions (Legal Council, Financial Analysts, IT representatives and Human Resources) with AI, and force these forms of careers into potentially new career paths that can be profit generating tools or positions within the organization's structure. With this in mind my biggest concern is how many of these educated and established professionals will be willing or even able to redefine their career path, and potentially seek lesser pay in the short term for more career stability in the long term. I believe the economy really hinges on this inflexion point within this overhead workforce segment, especially concerning how much debt (mortgage debt, consumer debt, etc.) accumulates within this group of individuals currently. Would love to get your thoughts on this opinion.
