Honestly, one of my biggest pet peeves about "AI" is that it's false advertising. It's not artificial intelligence, as there is no intelligence there. It just thoughtlessly waits for external prompts, receives them, and then searches its database to fulfil the prompt, unlike actual intelligences (even those of animals), as real intelligence can act without external prompts. It does not learn overtime, it is entirely reliant on its "training", as well as the amount of resources allocated to it.
Funnily, we've actually had REAL artificial intelligence for decades. Just look at 3D videogames. Pathfinding requires a program to have an innate goal (e.g. "Chase and attack player character"), analyse its surroundings (e.g. chasm between enemy and player), notice obstacles (the aforementioned chasm), and then come up with a solution (don't run in a straight line towards player, but instead run towards bridge and cross it to get to the player).
""AI"" is not sapient, meaning the name is false (it also isn't sentient either, but neither is true AI at the moment).
