Instead of 8 billion obsolete humans, how about coexistence? If we can't keep up, what about augmented humans that can? One of the very promising areas of AI is healthcare. Why not use that incredible intellect to bridge the gap of machines and biological life, extend our lives by hundreds of years if not indefinitely . If we can advance as fast as AI then together we can move into the future without leaving humanity behind.
