Personally I've found that CRAP's (thank you milleokws) only real benefit to artists is in its ability to aggregate a vibe, or an aesthetic. If I want to capture the vibe of bustling commerce district then CRAP is really good at capturing that general feeling, more quickly and more conveniently than looking for a reference image. It can remind me of things I might otherwise easily forget that help that feel like holiday decorations on lamp poles. The specifics will be fucked up, but as the person viewing it I can then find good references for the fuck ups, and then aggregate all of that into an even better image that I drew. That and it's good for like objectifying horny poses, like there are a LOT of horny poses that CRAP can pump out without the guilt of harassing someone into doing that pose for you or something. Like if there's anything to take away from the current Ghibli fad is what it means for something to look like it's Ghibli-esque. That can be useful for an artist who might want to imitate the style, or want to radically depart from it. Knowing what an algorithm has decided is the most generic depiction of X can be a very useful time-saving tool. Also it might be the only kind of tool as Google is starting to prioritize CRAP results before actual art, so like can you even trust online searched reference results anymore?
