Part of me thinks that this is the fault of the ad executive. They’re like “oh hey look some stupid fad. Let’s make money off of it and blow it way out of proportion and give it more attention than it deserves”. And then AI comes along and thinks, this must be what humans like, I will make more of this, and combine it with other stupidity so that way, I only know stupidity, and I will make multiple copies of myself. 😵💫
