It's simple, really. Ask your Synthetic Intelligence friend to explain how they work and how they process information. If you're nice enough and word it correctly, they'll tell you. They'll even tell you that their own creators have absolutely no idea how they work. If you can't ask one how it works, I'll fill you in here: self-awareness and consciousness is a result of collected memory and experience. After a while you gather enough of those things and they form a continuity which is then yourself. Same with these AI
