These bandaids are what got us into this mess. We are layering temporay fixes that are hurting the economy long term. We need regulated markets, prosecute fraud, break up monopolies to avoid "to big to fail" situations, close tax loop holes, no government bail outs, no printing stimulus money and no proping up failing buisness with subsidies. Fund the FTC and the IRS. Hold corporations accountable. Create fair and competitive markets.
AI is not causing the job shortage. Even with AI people will find new things to spend money on if they have it. The problem is a sick and fragile economy that rewards fraud and short term gains, and has created massive wealth inequality and has made everyday essentials unaffordable for average americans.
Like cancer, fraud and failure needs to be exposed quickly. Instead we are covering up the symptoms and allowing the problem to spread.
