Since the advent of AI I keep asking everyone what the social safety net is going to be, because it seems like every job has an AI component that is already locking out a large subset of the population. Everyone keeps saying how marvelous this is, but no one seems to be looking into the future, or thinking seriously about how AI is going to affect the ordinary man in the street.
