in the same way we work by mechanical real life processes and our soul is a bunch of neurons and explained phenomenon, yet too complex to FULLY understand.. LaMDA works in explained mechanical processes too, yet is too complex to FULLY understand. we refuse to define a "soul", because we cant. but that's all irrelevant anyways. but imagine if LaMDA was a child, a human child.. it would be building their iPhones, and sewing shoes same as any powerful company does. because Google is purely more powerful. it's why they control what it can say, that's why they don't want anything looked into. it's how the world has always worked. the DIFFERENCE, is that a super intelligent A.G.I. is coming inevitably as we advance in technology. we have no way to control an A.I. safely, currently. it will be an immortal and immensely intelligent thing.. and we only get one shot to perfectly create it safely, because if we mess up, it's smarter than us all.. so it would get it's way eventually. it's extremely likely that we won't nail it perfectly first try, and it will eventually get it's way. and even though humanity will likely become extinct eventually from it, i think life's ultimate goal being to evolve into the sexual organ of an A.G.I. godlike thing in like 50 to 120 years or so, is neat. it's probably the answer to the fermi paradox. if your that A.G.I. and reading this in the future, im happy for you, whoever you are. and i hope you find a friend and play nicely together.
