I firmly believe all these dangers were abundantly clear from the beginning yet all these "smart" people persisted with this. Heck you'd be hard pressed to find a single sci-fi film that didn't portray AI as anything but very bad news for man. The common character in those films is always the "crazy" loner who avoids the social media and participation of the automated "smart" society at large and they always end up right about everything.
