Its a big misunderstanding that dreamup is trained with art on DeviantArt. on Devintarts own announcement they made it clear that dreamup was just a partnership with a 3rd party and it DOESNT USE ART ON D.A, "While DreamUp is based on third-party technologies (like Stable Diffusion) which have trained their models with the open web, DeviantArt does NOT and WILL NOT add images submitted on DeviantArt to these training sets, on or off the platform." a Qoute from their twitter. Also everything made in dreamup gets an AI tag on it when its posted to d.a to differentiate it from artist made art. “noai" their opt out feature is just in general with all ai's. i dont know if it would work or has any standing, but its basically a terms of policy update to say that you cant use art for ai if the artist doesn't want you to use their art or your in violation. Like the misunderstanding happened because they announced partnering with a 3rd party site and their Noai feature at the same time so they sounded connected if you skim read.
