On my end, I've heard time and time again people defending AI by saying "IT'S GETTING BETTER OVERTIME, JUST GIVE IT TIME", and I'm baffled by people who really believed that to begin with.
AI image generation is been here for... What, two years? Three? Lost count, but it hasn't gotten better. It might make things that look nice at the simplest of glances, but CONSTANTLY fail horribly when you spend more than three seconds looking at it. Wrong number of fingers, legs being too long or flexing on unnatural ways, hair melting together or melting into flesh, light sources that make no sense, inconsistencies with clothing, background elements being distorted, it ain't getting better. Doesn't matter what prompts they use, doesn't matter how much they yell at the model to do things right, the AI can't really tell those things apart without external help because it's being fed shit from thousands and thousands of different artists, and they all have their individual styles.
And if you gotta go out of your way to fix what an AI made, then what's even the point of the AI model? Do it yourself, that way it'll come out the way you want it to.
This also goes for people who complain and cry about not having been born an artist with talent and all that other shit: art isn't just good looking pictures. There's drawn stuff digitally, on a canvas, on a fucking wall as graffiti, there's sculptures, there's music, there's people who grow bonsais with specific forms, 3D modelling, wood carving, art can be whatever you spend time crafting and making YOURSELF. Telling a theft machine to make it for you doesn't make you an artist, if anything it would make the dumbass AI an artist instead - a terrible one that's asking to be sued for theft and plagiarism. Go out there and find the one thing that makes you wanna create, doesn't necessarily have to be drawing. As a kid I used to draw a lot - then I moved on to video editing - then I moved on to cosplay prop construction and cosplay sewing - then I moved back into drawing stuff - nowadays I draw TTRPG maps for my own campaigns, and I'm picking up sewing again but for different things: becoming a vet, sewing wounds is important there, so I practice at home with old fabric that went unused over the years. Life is too precious to be stuck stealing from others and giving yourself fake titles to feel important when you can get there with your own effort and own that achievement.
