Well, you know, listen. I used an AI to make some beautiful romantic digital art for my girlfriend and im getting one printed on canvas for Valentines day since it turned out so beautifully. I described in detail what i wanted and the AI made it in seconds. Im not a skilled artist and cant paint well at all, but i can certainly visualize in my head how id like a painting to look like, and i dont think a real artists would have done half as good a job as the AI at giving me what i envisioned, because serious and profitable artists have their own vision, and thats where i have a problem with artists in general. A professional artist will NOT paint what I want or do a style i like that is unlike their own, they paint what THEY want, what THEY think is better and it costs a fortune, and since i hate this snobbish and elitist attitude im just happy i can use automated software to get what i like. If somebody says " its not real art", well my response is, i dont care. I just want a beautiful personalized image that i can actually afford. Youre not losing money either way because of people like me, because i would, simpy put, never go to an artist and "comission" a painting, i dont have that kind of money and artist are notoriously difficult to deal with. AI will make art more accessible and affordable to people who couldnt previously afford it and dont care about the art world in general. To put it bluntly.. We just want cheap and pretty pictures, we dont care who or how it was made. Thats a totally different market that the people who buy and pay your art so to say AI will kill art as a profession is absurd. This is just creating a new market for people to buy products they would never have been able to afford before, its going to expand the art market to a larger audience who want lower price levels.
