I've seen Hinton several times when he's obviously frustrated because he can only talk about AI in the simplest terms. Because he's talking to NDT here I guess, he feels more like he can try to explain how this stuff actually works, but I can only grasp the outline of it. Reminds me of when I enthusiastically try to tell people about music theory--which is simpe and clear to me, but which often elicits blank stares from others. I'll watch more later. :-)
