I agree on full disclosure. However, I don't agree with bans AT ALL. Totally think banning AI art lends itself to hi-brow idealism. Perhaps discussing a new system can evolve for pay like manhours to create, etc..., a bluebook system. If an artists can't compete with AI then he needs to find a way to do so or train up to speed. Find a way to easily to compete with AI. I am going to start a series on how to use or compete with AI art and photography because I think we are becoming AI paranoid. A tool is a tool - discuss how to push it to it's limits. AI is not going away. Right now is the time to revolutionize art not ever possible thanks to AI. Art is stale right now. The latest trend still seems to be fantasy art, abstract or abstract realism. I can think of several ism's I don't think reached their pinnacle. Soon I hope I will inspire folks to push it. This is where the AI carries out new concepts from the artists brain - concepts previously dismissed by artists because the complexity wasn't able to be carried out in a timely manner. For instance here's an Achilles Heal with AI Art. Ask it to do a M.C. Escher Print or tessellation. You will find AI can barely handle a mobius print or infinity symbol. Photography at one time also put folks into an uproar however the process to making an Art print from a photo requires as much work as a painter(ex. Zone System etc.) and now a days only photographers who really know their stuff can make a fine art print digitally that is worth the financial effort to create. Eastern artistry or commercial illustration is embracing this. You ever see those 3d downtown billboards. That's the competition now. As an Old Man who couldn't wait to watch the Lone Ranger on a B&W cathode ray tube based TV on Sat. lots has changed for the better. To match the growing population needs we may need some AI assistance to nourish it. I know we have not found a way to solve wars, ignorance or famine in my lifetime. Can we be abundant? P.S. Yes AI must be regulated just like any tool. Plutonium has to be regulated as well as Power Plants. They are all a tool modern society must have to function so it can serve as much of the population as possible. We don't need less and should demand more otherwise one day we are going to be fighting each other again with Rocks, Spears and Bows.
