I, for one, welcome autonomous trucks. However, I think autonomous trucks won’t affect Flatbedders, certain Tanker work, and heavy-haulers too much; at most, they’ll be one the last ones to lose their jobs. Dry Van and Reefer will be the first ones to be gone.
Sure, I love my diesel truck and manually shifting through the gears and will miss it, but I don’t plan on being a trucker forever. Plus, autonomous trucks will only improve and progress us as a society.
