Essentially what makes it "cheating" is the perceived lack of hours put into a piece. You don't see the hours -- days and weeks even -- of coding that goes into making this artwork with the software. You also don't do any research into where they get their references -- they could be hand drawn or from copyright free sites like Shutterstock. Traditional artists aren't going to die out from AI, the same way they didn't die out from photography, so there's no reason to hate on people who use AI or on the software itself Being up in arms about this is literally like complaining about photographs. The only way the "stealing art" angle holds up is if you can go in and show exactly what pixels were taken from exactly what images -- the argument that it is stolen is a complete scapegoat excuse to be mean to people. And you completely don't realize the harm you're doing by fearmongering about AI. Even if your complaints are valid, people accusing any and everyone of using AI just because they are average (or bad at drawing hands, which every artist struggles with). You are fostering a toxic art community by getting people riled up and acting like attacking anyone for any reason is okay. It's not.
