What Bernie is saying at least on a human level makes perfect sense.
I just don't see corporate investors and major shareholders of companies giving up slices of their potential profits in order to better the lives of ordinary grass roots employees.
I would imagine that most wealthy people who invest in large corporations would demand maximum personal return, otherwise there is no incentive...and there lies the problem...
I think western society needs to move away from purely capital gain, and think about other ways to be rewarded along with incentives that can be earned for work or community activities, skills sharing for example..this would promote a far less greedy, and more empathetic society in my opinion, because it encourages people to help each other out.
AI can be our best friend or worst nightmare, i guess it all depends on how the tech is embraced and used and the motivation behind it.
