This absolute dump of a country is now quite openly using the police as bullies of the state rather than just policing crime properly and with respect for its citizens. How to destroy their rapidly dwindling reputation with the public in one easy move. Not so very long ago, the police used to be respected and looked upon as helpful, friendly and efficient. The people you wanted to call if you were in need of assistance. Now, they are mistrusted, hated figures of public scorn, and I would consider the situation very carefully before ever lifting my phone to involve them in anything other than a road traffic collision, all because the appalling bloody government of this broken country are forcing it into a fascist state where everyone is to be subjugated by the state and treated with suspicion and a total lack of respect. Our individual right to live a private life has gone already and I cannot see a day when it can ever return. The government and police will cite the same old story that we all live in dangerous times and that these new technologies are there to keep society safer....utter bollocks! It's entirely to do with government control of every citizen and the removal of freedoms we hold very dear. Our forefathers did not die on foreign soil to uphold this crap. It was to protect a way of life free from tyranny. Labour are the enemy within and possibly the most hated government in British history. Starmer is playing a pathetic imitation game of pretending to be Trump. That is a seriously dangerous strategy! Acting tough and looking nothing more than a pathetic loser, is not a great vote winner. Well, it needs to be pointed out to him and the police, that we will stand firmly against this destruction of our way of life. I refuse utterly for the police to randomly stop me and take my photo...sod off!! I do not consent to harassment while walking the streets of my country, by a police force being manipulated to actively harass the public. Facial recognition cameras deployed on the streets are a disgusting misuse of police powers and abuse of our rights to privacy. In many cases, they are also massively inaccurate and turning in more false positives than genuinely catching wanted criminals. So, they decide that mass data gathering of every single face will improve the AI.....we'll, sorry, absolutely not. It happens everywhere in shops, airports, stations and we basically have no chance to oppose or avoid it, but to roll out these intrusive and awful mobile units on the streets of if our towns and cities is a complete disgrace. We all need to cover our faces now in protest.....if everyone out shopping went back to COVID mask and sunglasses wearing or scarves, hoodies and frankly anything to hide our faces, they might get the bloody message that we are not going to stand for this shit. As for a £90 fine this gentleman received, he must challenge it through the courts. If the police had not stopped and harassed him in the first place, he would have gone about his day perfectly peacefully. By harassing him, they deliberate provoked his level of stress and anger and quite rightly, he told them to 'do one'! To then be fined for defending your own right to privacy is an absolute outrage and a clear indication of how the police are now being briefed to use excessive powers to control people. People who were going about their day in perfect peace until they actively stood in their way! Absolute tossers.
