AI art is next-level superficial. It's reached a point that's superficially excellent, but it's worth still depends on what you're looking for. I find a 6-year-old's scribble to be devastatingly superior to any super-detailed AI work. It doesn't matter how flawed the kid's scribble is, any single line may have a story to it - AI is not capable of that at all (until AI with free will?). This is pretty much what makes AI art valueless and inherently forgettable.
It still has worth. An AI design might be better than leaving the refrigerator door empty... but a child's scribble is always going to be pinned over top.
