When manufacturing jobs were shuttered workers were promised more lucrative work in the service sector in offices and warehouses, they were reassured by economists and governements that they wouldnt lose out because those jobs were no longer worth it, well those jobs are now being taken by AI so what are they promising those workers instead now? nothing! because they see robots as the ultimate workers
