AI art is not art.
Art as we use it is meant to convey ideas. There is always a meaning behind a piece, even if that meaning is just a dot on a canvasse (though the meaning of pieces like that are often just "tax evasion").
AI doesn't have the capacity to think. It is scripted to steal bits and pieces off of other artworks, then to rearrange them into a novel, but ultimately meaningless piece. If you see a cloud that looks like a dog, you wouldn't think it's art, you'd just think it's a neat looking cloud. Likewise, if you see an AI generated image of a dog, it isn't art, it is simply an arrangement of pixels made to resemble a dog by the whims of an unfeeling, unthinking algorithm.
If AI art replaces human artists, it will be a massive loss to the world.
