i think some of this also comes from social media. when your art doesn't turn out the way you want and you go online and see all this amazing art especially from these "child prodigy" accounts where people younger than you can make amazing art I think it definitely can demotivate you. when I felt like this with my art when I was younger ai art didn't exist so I get why people turn to ai but its like you said art takes a lot of practice and there's endless resources to teach you everything you want to know
