I'm a 2D traditional artist, and I'm ok with AI because I don't think as many others here using wishful thinking philosophy. We can't stop progress. And yes, this is societal progress, just like looms and wheat processing machines were too. Get over it. WE WILL lose our jobs over the AI, and not just artist, but ALL knowledge workers. Only a 1% of the humans would be needed to maintain systems, and the rest of us will have to live off of manual labor. That's the only sector that AI won't touch for another 50 years, until robotics take it over too. Until then, young people today will have a hard time to find good jobs. After a robotics revolution, there will probably be a UBI for everyone. So, it's 1 generation of humans that will have a really bad time on Earth. Sorry, but it's unavoidable. AI can't be stopped, because if it's deemed illegal, or regulated in the US, Somalia or Bali won't do the same, and will rise on the top of the world. US can't allow that. So, no, you can't stop the spread of AI, get over it. It's the new nuclear race to the top. Build a new skill.
