I am an artist and author from Europe and I am writing here about my experiences with the so-called AI:
It is not art!
Most of my clients now use AI portals to create their own book covers instead of hiring a designer to do it for them. Greed is king.
The companies that run these portals make a lot of money from the work of other artists.
They violate copyright law thousands of times, and there are only very weak laws against it.
