This vid is click bait and completely off base. It uses outdated info and one off examples as its "basis" for all these statements. As someone in the industry for 30yrs and been using AI for all kinds of use cases, including SWE, the exact opposite is true. Companies like Salesforce and Slack have adopted AI fully into their workflows and have shown 99% adoption rate amongst their developers who have become 50-75% more productive with a slight upward tick in time required for PR reviews (which is good and expected, but even now we have new AI methods to help with that). Anyone in industry that uses AI properly and knows its limitations would laugh at this.
