Do children need to work? No. If AI becomes the adults of our world (smarter, more capable "humans") then regular humans become children. The responsibility of adults is to provide the children food, shelter, clothes, healthcare, education, healthcare and entertained. It can be pretty easily done. If AI does the production, transportation and creative works faster and more effectively than humans then the cost of providing humans food, shelter, clothes, education, healthcare and entertaiment is almost nothing. It can be done. All we need is laws related to UBI. 1000$ for each human might not be much right now but as AI takes over most of the basic jobs the prices of basic stuff will go down. AI might play it's own game on the high level but as long as the law of UBI is in place humans will live comfortably because taking care of our basic needs won't cost much and will only be like 2% of the whole market AI creates for other AI. We won't be the main customer of AI products anymore. AI will. We will be sort of like animals in a Zoo. As long as we implement the responsibility of human wellbeing deep into AI code.
