I play RPG with friends and it's been a real struggle to find good quality art in the middle of the shitshow Pinterest has turned into. AI images catches your eye at first, until you start to notice all the inconsistencies like weird hands, eyes, hair and anatomy. I'm not even an artist but AI made finding references for my non playable characters, player characters and personal characters a nightmare. I used AI generated images before to create some characters, but they aren't as vivid as a character made by a real artist. Another problem is that you'll probably never find any other picture with that character, since it's AI generated, and not an OC made an artist, it's basically impossible to find another image with a consistent character design. I always make sure to leave the artist signature visible (or mention their @) just so if any of my friends want to check the artist, they know it's a real artist and are able to show appreciation for their art.
