My question is this: if corporations want to support, develop and use AI and they know that doing so severely eliminate jobs, are they going to increase the funding for unemployment or create a different kind of work force so that millions of people who cannot find work can afford to buy the food that Agra business grows, the technology tools and gadgets that tech giants manufacture, the cars that we need to get around, the gasoline that petroleum giants decimate the environment to extract, the guns that gunmakers create, the medicines that big Pharma produces, etc etc. if they are going to pay us do that we can buy these things, it may not be so bad. Let them work 60 hours a week and let us relax as we can’t find work. But if they are going to plunge us into poverty he’ll, who the hell do they think are going to buy their products and services??? Isn’t this shooting yourself in the foot?
