I hate A.I. as a replacement for artists, as it is riding on the expertise of others, that would not exist if people never made art in the first place. It is a TOOL. It lacks inspirations because it just tries to rip from what is given to them. While people may say, "But oh, people have been taking inspiration from others for centuries, and specific styles have been replicated for a long time!" Lack the common sense that we, as artists, try to be tranformative with our works, and the way we use color, the composition, the themeing is based on our PERSONAL experience. And in especially detailed works, every little aspect was given thought. A messy room will always be a messy room to A.I, but what is in that messy room tells a lot more about that person than A.I. could comprehend. A basketball ball laying on the ground, multiple bits of packaging from the same snack brand. A.I. doesn't think it has value! Look, I have nothing against A.I. as an AID. My own music professor has used it as inspiration and then makes his own music. I have used A.I myself as a brainstorming partner, not asking directly what I should put into a story, but rather explaining what I have and how I feel about it, and I shuffle through the answers until I feel inspired by a concept, and then flesh it out with my OWN ideas. We constantly reuse tropes! But you know what keeps us watching them? The unique ways in which people showcase them. We constantly take inspiration from classical texts, and yet the adaptations we see of it never tire us. There is a difference between inspiration and data input. The first cannot live without experience, and exposure and thought, but the other lacks the emotional connection and thought, only seeing things as they are and not delving deeper.
