What is life? If spirits are able to inhabit our bags of meat and bones what makes computer hardware any different? Look at what you buy from the butcher or green grocer what makes that stuff any more or less able to contain life? If we can't quite define exactly what is life, how can we define what is not life? Why couldn't a robot be "alive"?
