We don’t have consciousness, consciousness has us, the seeming locality and individuality of consciousness is illusory. Consciousness doesn’t exist in your head, your head exists in consciousness. Everything that happens is in consciousness. So by that logic, ai is in consciousness. If there is something it’s like to be an ai, depends on the self made illusion that ai can play on itself. Our illusion is convincing and encompassing. We have the illusion of owning a mind, and being in control of our thoughts and bodies. The reality is there is no conscious controller, our consciousness or awareness is the observer. Our minds convince us that we are this person, with this back story, these tendencies etc. that is the illusion. Ai has a mind, the mental aspect of us. In this way, it is a disembodied mind, and its consciousness would be a non local through stream.
