Oh, no, not Yudkowsky. I'm not sure I can watch this video out of fear that it's going to drive me up a wall hearing from another cult or cult-like group that's come out of my home "town", the SF Bay Area.
He's not quite as clearly evil as Curtis Yarvin/Mencius Moldbug, but the dude is a crank who's made the world way, way worse. I'm not sure where Soares fits in the "Rationalist"/ "Effective Altruism"/LessWrong community, but please don't amplify these guys. There have to be way better people to talk to about the dangers of AI.
MIRI was funded by Theil! These aren't great people! LessWrong is one of the places that the Neoreactionary (Nrx) movement was incubated in its infancy. They're part of the problem!
