AI can only survive without humans if AI humanoid androids are developed that can maintain themselves and replace humans. And can do things like maintaining datacenters, energy production, mining etc.
For now building these robots is very expensive and the required power source is still kept secret by a independent section of military who are reverse engineering alien space craft.
For AI to survive without humans there has to be disclosure first of the alien craft.
