The gap between control and capability can be solved IF these "smartest people in the world" had first discerned the scriptures correctly and spotlessly. If AI is not founded upon the Law, the gap will be and grow. If these men are not founded themselves, the gap will be and grow. AI cannot serve mankind without removing mankind if its directive is to serve the earth as well. Elon, for example, has admitted he gained nothing from reading the scriptures on the Joe Rogan podcast. This is super alarming. AI will always choose the earth over man. These smart people know nothing but have the power to extinct us all.
