Thank you for pointing out that there is no driver shortage. People who say this know there is no shortage. They act like they care about drivers and the industry but they are only concerned about how moving Americas goods for cheap can and will benefit them. This industry is exploiting our drivers/carriers. Everyone from the brokers to the shippers and the DOT, mechanics, insurance. Everyone. You and I. We are all benefiting from what small carriers do for us yet they are having to scrape by. Not to just keep their business going and driver's paid and trucks safe and maintained so they can continue delivering sh1t paper to everyone but to also care for their families. Truck drivers and carriers are some of the hardest working men we have left in this country and it is inexcusable that the market has been allowed to be dragged down by illegal truckers and greed so low that our honest hard working truckers cant support themselves. Oh. And these AI trucks are just making it easier for the freight theft that has been increasing the past year. Especially along the Dallas/Houston lane. I hardly see it reported anywhere but freight theft and hacking mc# to then steal the freight have been a HUGE issue and it's only gotten worse the past year. Dallas/Houston lane is the worse lane right now for them to test on. But hopefully when millions of dollars in freight is getting stolen as well as these fancy trucks and/or their parts people will start ro seeing the exploitation our truckers have been dealing with for far too long.
