I agree with some of Shads reasoning, I think the human input is a factor that shouldn't be disregarded, as well as the tool-factor but there are clearly deeper layers he disregards way too easily. Apart from the whole stolen artwork element which isn't a general element of AI but very egregious with picture generation - IT IS NOT INTELLIGENT. I scream it out because AI generators are for a good part simply customizers. They throw dice again and again and again. While the human element surely is artistic, the part where the machine randomly puts out images is just not. Yes it is a tool if I say make it dark and it is dark but it is not a tool if it has a semi-own will and changes the image all the time. There are a lot of tools that significantly reduce the time of work and do things people have no clue how it's done or at least it would take ages and so the machine does it. Photoshop's filters i.e.. Fine. BUT when I use this stuff I click on a button, I move a bar, I put in a number and the result will always be the same. And that's the same with a brush or something else, I make a stroke and if I know my stuff this stroke will look the same, so I have control over what I do. In digital I can go back, when I make a mistake and adjust the number, bar whatever. An AI is a randomizer, it suddenly changes a face, a background, hair strain and so on. AI is stupid, that's why you have to do it over and over again. Outside of AI you do it over and over againi because of skill isues or simple mistakes. With AI your tool is inherently crooked. I think AI is really great for private use but it's a menace outside of it and Shad really lost it there and his acting at this gig was.. wow cringeworthy is really the fitting word.
