I agree with you mostly but I think your argument has a flaw which I will explain: We would both agree that AI use is unethical because it steals data from artists and regurgitates it into "new" works. However, would you also agree that it is unethical for an artist to use their own art to generate images? I think that on principle, that this technology holds no good for humanity at large and that it should not exist in any capacity. It is anti-human and limits creative expression. I believe corporations like Disney do not actually disagree with the use of AI at all, but instead disagree with other people profiting off of their IP. And given enough time they will likely develop their own model and start pumping out work from there. Even though they OWN this data I still think they shouldn't be allowed to do it. This is because the end consequence remains the same whereby artists will stop being hired for corporations like Disney and skills passed down through generations of creatives will be lost. I am interested to hear your thoughts on the above. I have not 100% thought everything through but this is what I believe. Many thanks, Sam
