@LavenderTowne I understand your point of view, but I also think there is a type of legitimate artistic use of ai generated art. People (like myself) with very vivid imaginations that can form their artwork in their heads and can describe those images in great detail, but have a disconnect where we lack either the skill or ability to create them in real life. If I can describe how I want my art to look with great precision to a tool that will conjure the image then I see that as legit artistry. I also think it could be a great tool for art "mashups" much in the same way some musicians take two songs and mix them together into a single track greater than the sum of the two.
However, 'm not defending all ai artists here. And I agree that an overabundance of ai generated art is a detriment.
