Many ordianry newer vehicles, are commonly festooned with cameras sides, back front for driver to see.. whatever. Where I live, these cameras are mostly useless because they get covered with dust (gravel roads), mud, road slush, snow, ice or salt or combinations thereof. Clean them off and 1 minute later useless again. How do autonomous vehicles overcome this hazard? I am sure their sensors would not work covered with road salt or ice.
